San Saba County and City Officials have confirmed two case of rabies in the last 3 weeks. Just outside of the City Limits, a rabid raccoon was killed and sent off for evaluation; the results returned positive. Earlier, a cow, found to have contracted rabies was eliminated.
Officials urge all pet owners to be aware, to have your pets vaccinated, and never touch a rabid, or suspicious or strange acting animal. Contact the Sheriff's Office should you encounter a rabid animal.
